This is my pond a week after construction, now I've had it about 4 months and the water is greener than St. Patrick's Day. I've tried algae killer and some kind of koi clay that supposedly fixes everything but it remains green. Is there any way to make the water clear again?

You're gonna have a to get a UV sterilizer unless you know you're not gonna get a lot of sunny weather now summer is going to be over. You can use barley or some other additives just for the short term. Try checking out www.drfostersmith.com goto the pond section--> algae control. It'll give you an idea of what to do.

HYACINTHS!! HYACYITHS!! HYACINTHS!! Quit adding chemicals, waste of time and money. All you need is some plants, anacharis will work but hyacinths are fantastic!! They out compete the algae for any nutrients, thus starving it to death! Now, couple of probs, depending on where you live, they could be illegal. They will take over local waterways in a warm climate. Secondly, they die in the winter. If you're in a cold climate, you probably should just wait til next year.

Have a look into frech water clams/muscles. I've had great success in old gold-fish set-ups in front of windows. Obviously no zebra-muscle, though they would be extremely effective. Attaching musches/oysters may foul glass and filters.
