needed tools. Very important buffer information.
Do not get a buffer that spins over 5000 rpms. You will burn your acrylic.

You can get Novus at Tap plastic, or order it online at:
http://www.delviesplastics.com/waxes_cleaners_novus.htm

You really dont need step 1, you can survive with step 3 only. That is what I used the most.

I agree. This thread should be pinned. This thread gives you all the info you need to buff out your tank. Art is the master on this.
I would like to take this opportunity here to thank Art again for buffing out my tank tonight. Beautiful job. Man, my tank became new again. I was very impressed to see him working on my tank.
Thanks, bro!

thanks R and everyone else for the kind words.

This requires no skill at all, anyone can do it.
The best part of all this is the results.
OMG, you will not believe your eyes how clear your tank will be after you buff it out.

If anyone has any questions, just drop me a PM, I'll do my best to help you out.

are you serious? real questions because I'm not sure.

If you want to get scratches out of your tank, I would advise taking it down before doing anything.
Even if you are cleaning the out side of the tank.

The buffer is soo loud that it will freak out your fish.

I have sat inside big tanks to buff out the scratches, with ear plugs, the noise was still deafening.

DOES THIS WORK FOR THE HAIR CRACKS? I HAVE 2 SPOTS WHERE THERE ARE HAIR CRACKS WITHIN THE SIZE OF A PENNY ITS ROUND, AND THERE IS A SLIGHT BUMP TOO LIKE A BULLET HIT IT (DONT TAKE IT LITERALLY LOL) USUALLY THESE APPEAR AROUND THE TOP PART OF OLD TANKS ALONG THE EDGES...

I have a theory about fixing hairline cracks.
I have yet to try it so I dont want to advise poeple in trying.

What I know is if you buff that area, it will look cleaner and make your cracks stand out less.

PM me if you have any other questions.
I was not answering for a while, I was away. Now I'm back. smile.gif
