You're most welcomed. Just sharing my humble collection. Nothing to shout about compared to some of those who own better aros than me. smile.gif

By flipping through some japanese arowana mag, you'll see what I'm talking about. Even the way they're housing monsters in their tanks is impressive. They're infact my inspiration in keeping monsters in my current available tanks.smile.gif

Koji, that is an amazing violet fusion sr. Do they come in Xback smile.gif!!

Violet Fusion is just a brand name given to those better quality Grade 1 super red by Qian Hu. As for xbacks, some of them do carry some form of dark violet base colour too but the different is that they belong to the golden family, totally different from the reds. smile.gif

Thanks for that info koji.

With that much bioload, I would be scared to attempt it. You stress filtration vs. water changes which is very interesting. Would be it possible for you to share you maintenance techniques smile.gif?

basically I focus alot more on the amount of biological filtration for bioload high tank like mine. Water changing is another way to keep the nitrates at bay. But I need alot of mechincal filtration as well for I need them to clear the tank of waste.smile.gif

The tank is a 180..6x2x2....I just wanted and try getting two Aros in there....they are starting to look like a pair.....

I believe they are too young to breed. I just treat them as a pair of SA/CA cichlids...when male starts getting to aggressive, I put in a divider...LOL

Maybe someone local with a bigger tank, would like to give it a shot... unsure.gif

hey i would, r u gonna give them to me so i can see if it works or sell them to me?? ive alwayz wnted to breed aro's

Hello folks! I am Lobsterman... from Singapore... Just thought of sharing some photos of my fishes. They were my pets for the past 2 years until I sold them of recently due to lack of time in taking care of them... Sigh... Hopefully they are doing well now!
