I have a cycled 55 gallon aquarium, and im going to pick up some really small dats tmw. I was wondering how many I can fit in the tank for now. This is a temporary tank. Thanks biggrin.gif

I'm assuming that the dats will be about an inch in size. If so, I would put no more than a dozen. Power feed them, change water often and you will get good growth rates. Put a lot of territories in the tank to keep aggression down.

Ok thanks and yes they are an inch. I was thinking maybe 6, but i might buy more depending on the price.

It also depends on filtration. I have a 55g completely bare w/ 2 penguin 350's and a whisperer 40. A powerhead and pump w/ airstone.

I have (20) 1.5-3''+ It, (3) 4'' ntt and (5) 2-3'' tiger barbs. I maintain pristine water condions by doin 30% wc's every 3 days:)

ALright well I got 6 dats right now and they are thriving and eating carnivore. laugh.gif
