ACA members will be recieving their annual ballot to elect members to the board of the American Cichlid Association. Both myself and Cindy Williams are running for the board and would greatly appreciate your vote. Members of the board and cadre now and through the years donate their personal time to focus on keeping the club running and making sure that the best interests of the members are served.

I've served as Publicity Chair for the club over the last four years. During that time I have had the opportunity to continue to reach out and spread the word on the ACA. I love the club, but if asked to melt it down to its lowest common denominator I would have to say it comes down to the people. I have met some of my closest friends in the club. i've had some of my biggest adventures collecting fish because of friends in the club. And I have grown to be a better aquarist because of people in the club. Now I am turning to members of the club asking to vote me onto the board. I want a bigger voice in guiding the direction of the club...and would appreciate it if you would take the time to return your ballot with an "x " in front of my name.

One of the things that Cindy and I bring to the table is our association and sometimes personal friendships with many of the members through our presence on the web. It's our firm belief that the web is the future when it comes to the dissemination of information. Our plan is to use the web to expand our reach to members and potential members...and encourage feedback and interaction to serve club members.

A quick note on Cindy Williams. I have known Cindy for many years. We met on the Internet on another forum. Over the years we have walked different paths, but always in the same direction...our love for all things involved in the hobby. Cindy has one of the best heads I have seen for organizing and dissemenating information on all things aquarium. Her insight and enthusiasm would be an asset to the club. She already has my vote. I hope you will give her yours as well.

Comments or questions are encouraged and appreciated. Please spread the word. You will recieve your ballot in an upcoming Buntbarsche. Thanks in advance.

I just received word that I was voted into the Board of Trustees for the ACA. I appreciate all that voted for me. I'm looking forward to what I can for the Cichlid Hobbyists.

Thanks again for the support.

Peace.

Mo
